How to Size a Baptism Gown for Your Baby — Australian Guide
Why Sizing Matters for Baptism Gowns
A baptism gown that is the right size will sit beautifully on your baby and photograph wonderfully. Too small and it will be uncomfortable and restrict movement; too large and it may look baggy or be a tripping hazard for toddlers.
Key Measurements
For baptism gowns, the most important measurements are your baby's weight and length (crown to heel). Age alone is not reliable — a 6-month-old baby can weigh anywhere from 5 to 9 kilograms depending on the child.
Our Baptism Size Guide
- Newborn: up to 4kg, up to 56cm
- 3 Months: 4–6kg, 56–62cm
